3. I have come to understand the importance of technology in the medical profession. There will always be an upside and a downside to new ideas. For the most part, technology in a healthcare setting has proven to be invaluable. It has been proven that it has made a difference in maintaining patient information, therefore decreasing medication error and coordinating patient care between specialties quickly and more accurately than in the past where paper was walked, mailed or faxed. Technology has made it possible to maintain patient information more accurately thereby keeping accurate information that is vital to keep a patient healthy.
